Your first visit
Plan on about 40 minutes. You and Dr. McDonald talk through what brought you in, your medical history, what you have already tried, and what you are hoping to improve. He reviews any relevant records or imaging and performs a thorough osteopathic examination, then explains what he is finding and how he thinks it may relate to your symptoms. In most cases, treatment with OMT can begin during that same visit.

Before your first visit
New patient paperwork
Fill these out before your first visit and bring them with you, so your time in the room can go toward your care instead of a clipboard. If that is not possible, please arrive about 20 minutes early to complete them in the office.

What the visit looks like
Where you feel pain is not always the only area contributing to it. The exam helps Dr. McDonald understand how the different parts of your body are moving and working together before treatment begins.
- 01
Talk
A conversation about what brought you in, and what you want to get back to.
- 02
Exam
Anatomical landmarks, motion testing joint by joint, and a careful feel of muscle and tendon.
- 03
Treat
In most cases the same day, with specific osteopathic techniques matched to you.
- 04
Explain
You leave knowing what he found, and why he chose that treatment.
- 05
Keep going
Simple exercises and self-care to do at home, so the work continues between visits.
I want every patient to leave feeling heard, understanding what I found, and knowing why we chose the treatment we did.

Opening in two days, on Tuesday, September 15. Dr. McDonald is taking names now.
Leave yours and you’ll hear back to set up a time.
